It’s back and so are we!

The sunnier months are fast approaching, which means one thing – festival season! Yes, Leeds Festival, Glastonbury, but also design festivals, specifically BDF, Birmingham’s very own festival of creativity… Oh yeah, that’s right! The big Birmingham Design Festival is back.

From the 8th-9th June 2023, Birmingham’s creative quarter will take over the city with this year’s theme ‘imagination.’

Made to inspire anyone who loves design, admires creativity and is eager to explore innovation, BDF puts on workshops and talks filled with anything and everything weird and wonderful.

Speakers include Brian Collins, Marta Cerdà Alimbau and Oliver Jeffers. And if you want to try something new, workshops involve Anthony Burrill’s Print Workshop, Venessa Scott’s Mural workshop, and Ed Barrett’S Animade Frames Workshop.

But the best part? RBH are proud design district sponsors! You see, at RBH, we care… about people, and about creativity. Nurturing talent has been fundamental to who we are since we started almost 30 years ago. We love BDF because it’s a celebration of all that we find important.

Better yet, we’re not just sponsoring BDF, we’re getting stuck in too! Living and breathing our values, we’ll be setting up a portfolio surgery to help nurture future talent. And that doesn’t just mean young talent straight out of university! It’s for anyone looking for industry advice or the chance to have their portfolio reviewed in a setting infinitely less stressful than an interview.

So, whether you’re a like-minded creative needing some guidance or you’re just after a second opinion on your portfolio, come and pay our portfolio surgery a visit at BDF.

Honey scam: an advertising agency’s perspective

Honey scam: an advertising agency’s perspective

Like many of you YouTube natives out there, I awoke several weeks ago to an image of Mr Beast, MKBHD, Mark Rober, Linus Sebastian and Aaron from Mrwhostheboss next to each other with ghostly white eyes. Above them sat a comical version of the ‘Honey’ logo with devil’s horns and strings reaching down to all of them, seemingly controlling them like puppets.
