Flybe & RBH team together

RBH appointed by new Flybe Ltd as it prepares for take-off

West Midlands-based RBH, has been appointed by commercial airline, Flybe Ltd as its retained creative communications and PR agency.

Following a competitive pitch, the agency, whose office is in Meriden, will lead on all communications and creative output and will be responsible for managing the airline’s communication strategy, creative, media relations and consumer facing PR.

News of the Flybe Ltd win marks a major success for the independent communications agency. As one of Britain’s newest airlines to launch in decades, competition for Flybe’s brief was high. RBH will work closely with the Flybe team and CEO, Dave Pflieger, to help oversee the initial launch and development of Flybe Ltd and will continue to work with the team to deliver and communicate key milestones as it readies for early next year.

The airline recently announced Birmingham Airport’s Diamond House as its headquarters, in a move which is expected to create 200 direct jobs in Birmingham and the West Midlands region over the next three years, with an estimated additional 400 direct jobs to be created nationwide during that same time frame.

Dave Pflieger, Flybe CEO, said: “It was extremely important for us to find a trusted local West Midlands business partner and an extension of our team to support us in the run-up to launch and beyond. And that is exactly what we found in RBH. During the pitch process, they impressed us with their understanding of our business, and our needs, and they developed a clear creative strategy to support us. RBH have already been working hard to help us get started and we look forward to our partnership going forward.”

Commenting on the win, RBH founding partner, Debra Hepburn, added: “This is a brilliant win for RBH, and we are thrilled to be working with the fantastic Flybe team during this crucial launch phase and beyond. The launch of a new Flybe is such positive news, and the fact they have chosen Birmingham as their headquarters is even better. Our team and I look forward to supporting this great new airline for many years ahead.”
