Birmingham Airport
Design of a new in-terminal wall installation, celebrating iconic figures from the West Midlands.
Objective
Following a security hall refurbishment, Birmingham Airport wanted to maximise the new space, and use it to celebrate Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Insights
The space acts as walkway, so it was important for the design to feel as eyecatching as possible. And as we were using photography from various sources, we needed to find a way to unify the images.
Solution
Using BHX’s core colour palette and taking inspiration from the rings in the brand logo to hold imagery, we created a vibrant wall design with a bold image treatment to create cohesion. The use of local landmarks across the design provided further interest.
Results
The client loves the final design, with it transforming the space and engaging customers along their journey.
