The RBH Charity Special

This year, we’re looking at giving everything an extra big splash of RBH green, making sure every project gets its very own dose of our in-house blend of caring and daring.

But we also love a chance to really tip the bucket out, and that’s exactly what we get up to with charities. Doing some proper good while expressing exactly what we’re all about normally leads to some pretty fantastic work too.

So you won’t be surprised to hear we’re very excited about our new client win: West Midlands Air Ambulance. But more on that shortly, for now, we’d like to show you a bit of what we’ve been getting up to in the charity sector recently.

Recent charity stuff

Nerve tumours

Our recent campaign with Nerve Tumours centred on the inspiring Thomas Young, a paralympic athlete. With the campaign line ‘Everybody is born a champion’ we aimed to raise awareness of neurofibromatosis while encouraging donations for the charity.

Ultimately, we achieved over 6m impressions and reached more than 4.5m unique people, amounting to just £1.21 average CPC (65% lower than industry average).

Young People First

The Young People First brand needed updating and, as a longtime client of ours, we were more than happy to help. Our concept was led by a singular emphasis on the fundamental principle behind their brilliant charity.

We managed to see the rebrand in place at one of their quiz events last year, and it was a load of fun, even if we did have to swallow the fact that RBHers aren’t quite as good at trivia as they are at brand work.

Nativitail

The holiday period within professional environments can sometimes lend itself to a time of frantic gift-giving, and this year we decided on a break from all the baskets and vouchers.

Instead, we came up with the Nativitail, holiday cards depicting the nativity scene with our own RBH dogs as the cast. We filled the cards with stories of our RBH rescues, and explained that a donation had been made to the Wild at Heart Foundation in lieu of a gift.

Upcoming charity stuff

West Midlands Air Ambulance

Toward the end of 2024, we were selected as one of the agencies to pitch for the West Midlands Air Ambulance charity. We gave them our best, a truly unique insights-driven creative pitch, and we were proud to kick off 2025 with them as our first client win of the new year.

Going forward, we will be raising the profile of the independent charity and healthcare provider with more insights-driven brand work and creative campaigns.

Joe’s marathon

Our Insights Partner Joe Hepburn will be taking part in this year’s London Marathon on behalf of Nerve Tumours UK. Joe’s intensive training programme now looks to get him ready for a marathon distance in just four months.

Naturally, we’ll be keeping everyone updated on how that’s going across social media. Make sure you’re following us on the right platforms in order to stay up to date with what’s to come.
