Birmingham Airport
Design of a new in-terminal wall installation, celebrating iconic figures from the West Midlands.
Objective
Following a security hall refurbishment, Birmingham Airport wanted to maximise the new space, and use it to celebrate Birmingham and the West Midlands.
Thinking
The space acts as walkway, so it was important for the design to be as eye–catching as possible.
Using emotional intelligence
We had a strong sense that the best way to engage passersby was to engender a sense of pride, so we chose to feature prominent figures born and raised in Birmingham on the wall. The use of local landmarks across the design provoked further interest.
Results
The client loves the final design, with it transforming
the space and engaging customers along their journey.
