For Church End Brewery’s 30th anniversary we created limited-edition ‘Holy Trinity’ packaging, celebrating their most worshipped beers. 

Objectives

Our brief from the client was to find a way of marking the 30th anniversary for the brewery’s devotees, as well as raising their profile among craft beer enthusiasts.

Solution

We relabelled all three bottles, using new illustrations that explored the theme of temptation in the style of stained-glass windows. The copy riffed on religious tropes, to demonstrate just how esteemed Church End Brewery and its beers are. Housed in cardboard-engineered ‘churches’, the bottles became gloriously illuminated windows, and a proper tribute to this little known but much-loved microbrewery.

Results

Just 30 anniversary packs were created. Some were sent to journalists and broadcasters, and the rest sold via the Church End Brewery website as collector’s items. The beers themselves were – and remain – available on tap at pubs across the country for Church End believers to relish.
