Media arm launch
Birmingham Updates began life as a social platform during the 2011 riots – conceived to update locals on the goings on during this time. It grew and grew to become a platform for all updates within the local area. The company went on to launch Coventry and London Updates, and this is when it became evident that they had the legs for a brilliant media platform, which we were tasked with helping launch.
First off, we researched different publishing models, online platforms and the new players of content marketing. A brand positioning piece was produced, which resulted in a new proposition, a new logo and a new look and feel rolled out across media packs.
The company is continuing to grow organically and has become the most engaged local media channel in the region, with 480,000 followers and 12 million monthly views.
