Birmingham Updates began life as a social platform during the 2011 riots to provide local updates, quickly expanding to become a platform for all area updates. We were tasked with helping launch their media platform.
We researched top-performing publishing models and online platforms, including the newest players in content marketing to leverage best practice and identify opportunities to stand out.
We delivered a brand positioning piece that resulted in a new proposition, logo and visual identity, rolled out across media packs. This new proposition was edgy and modern, encapsulating recognisable and unique elements of the city.
The company continues to grow organically and has become the most engaged local media channel in the region, with 480,000 followers and 12 million monthly views.
