A PR campaign to celebrate the iconic destination’s 20th birthday.

Objectives

As the Midlands’ most visited retail destination neared its 20th birthday, Bullring was looking to make some noise in the local media.

Insight

With a roster of new tenants due to open alongside an enhanced leisure and night-time economy offering, we wanted to ensure that the coverage generated looked ahead at the ever-evolving scheme rather than just focusing on the last 20 years.

Solution

We hosted a media morning on-site to facilitate a number of media interviews with representatives from the business. We also coordinated with a media release that detailed the new tenants and changes coming to the centre.

Results

On Monday 4th September, Bullring’s 20th birthday was high on the news agenda across the region.

  • Blanket media coverage across the region’s key news titles
  • Interviews with all local radio stations and BBC Midlands Today
  • Coverage touched on key moments from the last 20 years but mostly looked forward to the future with a 100% positive sentiment.
