Congratulations are due to final year advertising students at University of Gloucestershire, Emily Cooper and Jade Delaney.
The creative team came in to speak to RBH’s creative directors, Woody & Vinny, just before Christmas last year. They had a book brimming with ideas – but it’s fair to say that their infectious enthusiasm was an equally strong reason why our boys took them under their wing somewhat.
This included giving a few pointers when they got in touch with their Chip Shop Awards entry a couple of months back. Being a truly no-holds-barred contest, including categories such as ‘Ad most likely to get the Chip Shop Awards up shit creek’, the Chip Shop Awards is a great competition for creatives who are cutting their teeth as it gives complete freedom to produce work for any client and any product.
Taking RBH’s longstanding client, Church End Brewery, as their inspiration, the pair created their own Trump-themed beer and supporting campaign to stick into the category of ‘Best political ad’.
Well, the nominations are in. And Hell Toupee is in the running for a Chip. Fingers crossed, Emily and Jade… first that your great, fun ad bags you a Chip or Vinegar award and second that Donald doesn’t fly in to present it to you in person.
